Stock Exchange Limits

1. HOSE (±7%)

The Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange (HOSE) hosts the largest blue-chips (e.g. Vingroup, Vietcombank) and enforces a strict ±7% daily band from the reference price.

2. HNX (±10%)

The Hanoi Stock Exchange (HNX) features mid-caps and small-caps, allowing a wider ±10% daily fluctuation bracket.

3. UPCoM (±15%)

The Unlisted Public Company Market (UPCoM) has the widest daily band of ±15%, catering to newly public or unlisted equities.

Ordering Strategy

Ceiling/Floor Orders: In high-demand scenarios (such as an IPO listings or positive news), placing limit buy orders exactly at the Ceiling price maximizes your transaction probability.

Reference Price Calculation: On normal days, the Reference Price is the closing price of the previous day. On corporate action ex-dates, it adjusts based on stock dividend/cash split ratios.

Daily ceiling prices are rounded down to the nearest tick size to prevent exceeding the regulatory ceiling. Daily floor prices are rounded up to the nearest tick size to prevent falling below the regulatory floor.

On HOSE, tick size depends on the price bracket: 1) Under 10,000đ: Tick is 10đ. 2) 10,000đ - 49,950đ: Tick is 50đ. 3) 50,000đ and above: Tick is 100đ.

Any order placed at a price higher than the ceiling or lower than the floor will be automatically rejected by the stock exchange's trading system.
